How we handle your Strava data, Solana wallet information, and minted NFTs.
1. Introduction
At Mintivity, we believe in giving you ownership of your cycling achievements. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and how it is stored when you use our application to mint your Strava activities as NFTs on the Solana blockchain.
2. Data Collection & Usage
Strava Data: We only request the minimum permissions required to read your cycling activities and generate your NFT hero image and metadata. We do not access or store your unrelated profile data or private location history beyond what is necessary for your selected activity.
Wallet Information: We interact with your Solana wallet (such as Phantom, Solflare, or Backpack) solely to verify your ownership and to process the minting transactions. We do not have access to your private keys, seed phrases, or funds. We do not store your transaction history on our backend; your transaction history is publicly available on the blockchain explorer.
Backend Storage: We use a backend database to store your user journey starting from the image generation phase. This data is exclusively used to keep track of your minting progress and for session hydration (to allow you to seamlessly resume where you left off).
Analytics & Cookies: We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymized usage data to help us improve our application. We also use standard cookies directly related to session management, authentication, and security.
3. Data Permanence & Blockchain
Mintivity leverages decentralized Web3 technologies to ensure your NFTs are truly yours forever. Please be aware of the following implications:
Arweave Storage: The generated route image and metadata describing your activity are uploaded to the Arweave decentralized storage network. CRITICAL: Once data is uploaded to Arweave, it is permanent and cannot be deleted, modified, or altered by you or by Mintivity.
Solana Blockchain: When you mint an NFT, your public wallet address and transaction details are permanently visible on the public Solana blockchain.
4. Revoking Access
You have full control over your Strava connection. You can disconnect your Strava account at any time either directly through the Mintivity app or via your Strava settings. Disconnecting immediately stops our future access to your Strava data. However, please note that revoking access will not and cannot delete any activities that you have already minted onto the blockchain or uploaded to Arweave.
